It had been two weeks since the events of Frozen 2...

Queen Anna had woken up to the direct rays of sunlight shining into her room through her glass windows. She got up and yawned (like most normal people did) and then went to change into her "queenly outfit" as she liked to call it. It was the same routine every day. She had only become queen because her sister, (former) Queen Elsa had become known as the fifth nature spirit and protector of the neighboring forest, and had to stay back "to do what was best for Arendelle." That was why Anna became queen and as she liked to say, "life happened." Now, of course, Elsa visited the castle all the time for family game nights or just like that... but to Anna, life didn't feel the same.

After an hour of sulking, being ecstatic, singing, and dancing (because she felt like it) in her chamber, Anna made her way to one of the two dining halls in the castle. There, she met Olaf (the talking snowman) who was talking to Sven (the reindeer) and Kristoff, her husband. Bringing an abrupt smile to her face she gleefully said, "Good morning everybody! How are you all doing?" Olaf and Sven were the first to react and in response, Olaf hugged Anna and said "Good morning Anna!" and Sven nuzzled his nose into Anna's hands- one of his many ways to greet his second favorite person (Kristoff was the first). Kristoff was busy talking to one of Anna's assistants and didn't notice the "grand entrance" she made. As soon as he finished his conversation with the assistant, he noticed Anna and got up to greet her. They hugged, conversed for two minutes about their night, and then ate breakfast. Olaf and Sven were busy doing whatever snowmen and reindeers did during breakfast to notice that Anna hadn't been talking much, which usually worried everyone (only because Anna was such a bright and jumpy person).

Anna was fine with that though because whenever she felt down or wasn't being her "normal self," the panicking that spread through the castle was exhausting. After breakfast, Anna checked with her assistant to make sure her day was clear so that she could go and visit Elsa with her horse Kjekk. Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven had nothing else to do that morning either, so they decided to pitch along with their queen.

AN HOUR LATER

Kjekk and Sven had been saddled up and Anna and her comrades exited the gates of the kingdom. At first, they were traveling at a steady trot so that Anna could greet her subjects and get some fresh air running through her system. While crossing the docks of Arendelle, Anna spotted two unfamiliar ships with purple-ish flags. At first, she felt a shock run through her veins, thinking that the ship could be her parents, but of course, it couldn't be because she had seen the shipwreck where her parents died a few weeks ago. "Kristoff, have you seen that ship anywhere before?" Anna questioned without taking her soft gaze off of the ships. Kristoff followed Anna's stare until his eyes found the ship she was looking at. The ship looked as foreign to him as it did to her: "I dunno... never seen any flag like that before." Anna concluded (after thinking for two minutes) it would be nice to have another trading partner to do business with her kingdom so, she decided it would be beneficial to check out the ships and find out what kingdom they were from.

Five minutes later, Anna and Kristoff hopped off their animals and went to see the ship's captain. "Hello kind sir, I am Queen Anna of Arendelle and this is my husband," Anna motioned momentarily to Kristoff and then continued changing her voice to a more business-like tone, "to get straight to the point, we have never seen your ship's flag before and wanted to find out what kingdom you have just sailed from." At that same moment, a young man stepped out from another part of the ship with a straight figure and red-ish hair. He looked oddly familiar until it hit Anna. This was the ship of the Kingdom of the Southern Isles... because from what she knew, most of the royal members had red hair; and the man grinning from across the deck looked pretty royal. And then Anna further realized (after a few minutes of deep studying) that the prince who was grinning towards her was Prince Hans, someone who had been banned from Arendelle months ago.

Anna's soft smile abruptly went to a stern glare at Prince Hans and she walked over to him without a comment. Prince Hans was about to reintroduce himself when Anna took her fist and gave Hans a mighty punch which made him lose his balance which further made him fall overboard and hit the water. "Hey!" Hans yelled angrily, shocked by the sudden hit. Of course, everyone on board was enraged but Kristoff started clapping. Then Anna angrily said to the captain, "Good day to you sir, and if I ever see any of your ships in my kingdom again, we will no longer be at peace," and with that, she left, Kristoff following behind her.

A little later after the rendevous with the Southern Isles ship, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven reached Elsa's forest where she was doing her duties. They went deeper into the forest to find the village where Elsa and the Northuldra tribe resided. It didn't take much time as the village had expanded once peace had been made with all the creatures living in the forest. Just 10 minutes later, Anna and Elsa were holding each other in a warm embrace while conversing about the latest news up at the kingdom and in the forest. There was no bad news to share, either way, except for the confrontation Anna and Kristoff had just had with Prince Hans.

Elsa listened patiently to the story and then teased, "So much for true love, right Anna?" and then giggled. Of course, Anna knew it was a joke so she laughed along, but rolled her eyes at the same time. Elsa then checked in with Kristoff who was talking to a tribe-member named Ryder (they had become pretty good friends), Sven, and Olaf, who had been playing with some of the toddlers in the village. Then Elsa went back to Anna and had her meet Bruni, the fire spirit salamander. After all the introductions, the two sisters had a nice long 5-hour chat when it suddenly became dark. There was one loud roar of thunder and then it suddenly became sunny. But it only became sunny because Anna groaned at the weather and then put her hands in the air, wishing for it to stop. She knew that only Elsa would be able to change the weather, but not to the sunny-self it had been. Little did she know what would happen next.

A blast of yellow light emerged from Anna's delicate hands and then everything became sunny. Suddenly, Anna became warm and her cheeks reddened a little, but after a few minutes, her body cooled down while little sparkles of light were hovering above Anna. Elsa was in shock, Kristoff was smiling, and Olaf didn't feel the difference. "Wait, wait, wait... that didn't happen. Elsa, Kristoff, what just happened?" she panicked excitedly (Anna was feeling a lot of things). "Yes, that definitely just happened!" Elsa and Kristoff both expressed at the same time, the only difference in their answer was that Elsa was concerned and Kristoff was extremely happy. Anna was euphoric to find out that she had powers, just like her sister. Of course, what she had done was unintentional but from the result, that wasn't really the case anymore.

Anna then decided that it was getting late and she had to return to the castle (even though the time had nothing to do with her reasons for wanting to leave). And so, after saying their goodbyes, the castle-residing people departed from the forest. Along the way, there were a few black wolves running by, which Kristoff and Anna didn't overthink, as wolves were known to reside in this part of the forest. But they didn't realize that black wolves lived in another kingdom, specifically the Southern Isles, not Arendelle.

Reaching the castle gates was even more surprising. This was because of two major things. First of all, the colors of everything had changed to a dark purple and a light orange, which was a horrible color combination according to Olaf ("for a castle"). Second of all, as they entered, all the servants didn't bother to blink an eye at their Queen and King. They kept doing their work as servants to the new king. Someone who Anna didn't anticipate to see again. They decided to check the throne room, not knowing what to expect next. Kristoff had his polished sword drawn at ready and Anna waved her hand until a little fireball was hovering in her hands, light and delicate sparkles flashing around her body. As the door creaked open, Kristoff looked at the throne, which was occupied at the moment and whispered, "No..." Anna took her gaze to where her husband was looking and her eyes turned from shock to utter terror. Because on the throne sat Prince Hans, Prince of the Southern Isles, and now king of Arendelle.
